The Brief History of MyBike
we started out as an college bike rental company with a fleet of 10 bikes. We only served Northeastern University and only rented bikes with advertising, but as students began to hear about
our service our concept grew.
we began servicing every major college in Boston & Cambridge, grew our fleet to 75 bikes, and offered discounts to our advertising partners. Our founder was featured in Business Week’s Top 25 Entrepreneurs Under 25, while the company was featured in the Globe, Chronicle, and on MyTV.
we started selling electric bikes. A very cool decision because electric bikes are pure enjoyment.
we entered into an exclusive partnership with EG Bike for our electric bikes.
we moved our operations to the Distillery in South Boston, painted our shop neon orange.
voted Best Bike Shop in Boston by Boston A-List. We also added ace mechanic Addison Chase to the MyBike Team.
New website. New logo. New space.
-2015: MyBike moved to 391 West Broadway and opens up full service repair shop along with showroom space for new Fuji bikes, accessories, and apparel.
MyBike moves to Brookline right on Route 9 (364 Boylston Street) next to ACE Ticket
