Le Roy Watkins is the passionate, outgoing, workaholic entrepreneur who started MyBike. Always on the go, Mr. Watkins is constantly working to improve each customers experience with MyBike. Mr. Watkins also co-owns a youth based sports camp in Brookline, MA. When he steps away from the world of business, Le Roy can be found watching English Premiership Soccer, watching his beloved Yankees, walking his dog, or enjoying his wife and son's company.

Mr. Watkins' Story
Mr. Watkins started MyBike in 2005 as a bike rental company with a twist; rental bikes with advertising. With that, Mr. Watkins purchased 10 bikes and was in business.

By the end of 2006, MyBike's 10 bike fleet grew to 75 bikes that featured advertising from dozens of local businesses.

In 2008 Mr. Watkins negotiated an exclusive partnership with EG Bike and began selling electric bikes nationwide.

By 2010 Mr. Watkins grew MyBike into the nations largest bike rental advertising company. MyBike's fleet swelled to 200 bikes and Mr. Watkins successfully negotiated an advertising agreement with movie power house Focus Features. During the spring of 2010 Mr. Watkins met Steve Mahoney, who ended becoming MyBike's first employee and the company's COO. Together with Mr. Mahoney, they moved MyBike to it's current South Boston location and started MyBike's untraditional repair shop.

By 2012 Mr. Watkins' entrepreneurial achievements were honored by Business Week and the Boston Business Business Journal. Mr. Watkins also secured $100k in angel investment to grow MyBike.

Before MyBike
Prior to MyBike Mr. Watkins was a successful sales person for Smart Circle International (formally Granton Marketing). He was brought into Smart Circle's multi-level marketing program as an Independent Sales Representative. He worked 6 days a week, 16 hours a day, on 100% commission, selling coupon certificates door to door. Over a 12 month period Mr. Watkins trained and developed a direct sales team that generated over $1,000,000 in revenue. Mr. Watkins proved to be one of the nations top sales people and was flown around the country to develop sales teams in other offices.

In August of 2005, Mr. Watkins life changed. While in gridlocked traffic, Mr. Watkins thought it would be better to bike through the traffic. Taking the idea a step further he figured that if the bike had advertising, lots of people would see it. At that very moment MyBike was born. He quit his sales job and started MyBike the next day.

Mr. Watkins attributes his strong work ethic, intense focus, and exceptional communication skills with his door to door sales job.
